Beer Club Membership
How do I become a Member?
For all the information your need and the place to become a member: CLICK HERE.
How long do I have to sign up for?
There are no contracts or minimum terms or joining fees - we send packs to you until you tell us to stop. You can even skip a pack if you aren’t ready for another one.
When do I start getting VIP pricing?
When you sign up to your Beer Plan you will be emailed your username and password to log in to the site. There you can manage your membership but more importantly your VIP pricing will appear automatically in the store.
I don’t want to be a member but can I still buy beer from the store?
You don’t have to be signed up as a Beer Plan member to purchase gifts or items from our bottle shop – however, you will be missing out on the VIP wholesale pricing that our members enjoy. The good news is, that you are still getting access to some very rare beers at unbeatable prices. Why not try us out? You can join here.
Can I make a purchase offline?
We do not have a shop front and all of our orders are taken primarily over the internet. If you need to do an order over the phone please contact us and we will give you a call back to take your order.
Can I come and buy it from you in person?
We do not have a shop front and our liquor licence does not allow for you to collect any orders from our warehouse.
How much beer is in every beer club pack?
Every beer club pack features 17-18 bottles of differing sizes and ABV (alcohol content). Sizes range from 750ml bottles to 250ml bottles but a pack will always add up to around 8 litres (traditional carton volume). However be aware that these beers are far from mainstream and in many instances the ABV exceeds 6.5% and goes up to 14%.
What else is included in the beer club pack?
You will always get your members newsletter and tasting notes and sometimes we throw in a few surprise, non-beer related treats. You can download an example of our tasting notes here
How do you choose the beer?
Putting together each seasonal pack is a very complex process, with lots of variables! What doesn’t vary is that we look for beer that tastes exceptional and is made by small-scale passionate breweries that have a good story to tell and who otherwise could not readily make their beer available in Australia. Our hunting begins from our own beer tasting experience and travels to breweries and international festivals, brewers interested in being in a pack sometimes send us beer to sample and increasingly our beer selections are stemming from BeerMasons members requests. If you have a beer that you think should feature in a BeerMasons pack then drop us a line
If I like a beer, can I buy some more?
We order a little extra of all of our beer club pack beers, so that if you want some more you can order it online at members VIP wholesale pricing. But you have to be quick! Popular beers sell out fast.
Why does it cost more than regular beer?
There isn’t really much of a comparison to a case of Corona from Dan Murphy’s now is there? The good news is that you can still drink some of the very best craft beer in the world for the price of pretty average wine! Now that IS a very good thing! Every pack consists of beer from multiple breweries from all over the world, with all deliveries timed to arrive mere days before a pack is distributed so that you get the beer in mint condition. Importing such rare beer in small quantities from all over the place has some pretty big shipping over heads! Also – the alcohol by content (ABV) of our beers is generally very high. The government taxes beer according to its alcohol content. A large percentage of the purchase price is excise tax and GST. When the beer lands, we unpack and hand apply an Australian compliance label that is required by law. We then sort and repack your beers into our custom made boxes so that you get a mixed selection that travels safely through the postal system. Throw in the tasting notes and running the club and you will see it is a cracking buy – in fact, it’s a red-hot bargain!
What if I want to cancel my membership?
You can cancel or suspend your membership, or skip a pack, at any time. You just need to let us know before your next seasonal pack is processed (1 Sep, 1 Dec, 1 Mar, 1 Jun). If we have processed or shipped your pack, we may need to charge you a $35 admin and restocking fee.
Can I choose the beers that will be in my club pack?
It’s a surprise. The only reason we are able to access these beers is because the club has banded together to make special orders and funded the shipment. We are looking at developing an application where you can put together your own custom pack from stock in the store and hopefully this will be available soon.
